Job type: Full-time (part-time considered for the right candidate)

Pay: 1099 contractor position. Pay is a percentage of revenue generated, and depends on how many clients you see, if you supervise post-docs, and if you do assessments. Most of our clinicians are in the pay range listed. There is a build up time as we build your caseload and get you credentialed.

Schedule: Monday–Friday; clinician sets their own schedule within practice hours

Work location: In person, 711 Court A, Tacoma, WA 98402 (telehealth available when clinically appropriate, or in a hybrid situation of say 3 days in office and 1-2 days telehealth).

About us

Olympic Psychology Services (OPS) is a doctoral-level group psychology practice in downtown Tacoma. We have been part of this community for about 20 years. Our team of clinicians provides therapy and psychological assessment for children, teens, adults, couples, and families across a wide range of concerns. We are local, independent, and clinician-led, not a corporate mill. Our culture is warm, welcoming, and community-oriented, with optional weekly peer consultation groups and regular team gatherings. We provide peer support and admin/clerical support, our goal is to take care of all the non clinical stuff so you can focus on what you do best.

Role overview: We are hiring a Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D., licensed in WA) to provide outpatient therapy and, if interested, psychological assessment to our Washington clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, ACT, EMDR, behavioral medicine, emotion-focused, psychodynamic) at a caseload of approximately [20–25] client hours per week.
  • Conduct intake evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and treatment planning.
  • Optionally conduct psychological/neuropsychological assessments (ADHD, autism, learning, pre-surgical, etc.), we have a strong assessment practice and welcome interest in this area.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in our EHR.
  • Coordinate care with PCPs, psychiatrists, schools, and other providers as clinically indicated.
  • Adhere to APA Ethical Principles, HIPAA, and Washington State regulations.

Required qualifications :

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program, able to be credentialed with insurance.
  • Completed APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral hours.
  • Licensed Psychologist in Washington State
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in evidence-based treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment concerns.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; professional, timely documentation.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and cultural humility.

Preferred qualifications :

  • Specialty training/experience in trauma/PTSD, OCD, ADHD/neurodevelopmental assessment, neuropsychology, health psychology, behavioral medicine, child & adolescent, or couples work.
  • Experience with identity-affirming care, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, gender-diverse, or other historically underrepresented populations.
  • Bilingual or multilingual.
  • EMDR or other trauma-specific training.
