Experteer Overview In this role you will manage admissions and clinical intake to ensure the right level of care and efficient utilization. You will work with clinical and referral teams to coordinate transfers, pre-authorizations, and documentation, safeguarding patient safety and timely access. You’ll build therapeutic relationships with patients and families while ensuring payor requirements and medical records are in order. This position offers meaningful impact through coordinating care across levels of service and enhancing the admission process. Compensation / Benefits • Respond to inquiries within policy timeframes • Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families • Assess benefit eligibility and communicate to business office and patient • Collaborate with medical/psychiatric staff on referrals • Coordinate admissions and transfers across levels of care • Maintain milieu management knowledge • Communicate projected admissions to internal teams • Obtain and review clinical information pre-admission when possible • Schedule and complete pre-admission assessments and advise admitting physician • Prepare and maintain medical record documentation for payor authorization • Complete initial pre-authorization for treatment/admission within payor timelines • Admit patient to registration system and complete admission/consent forms • Provide professional, empathetic customer service and resolve complaints • Coordinate care for patients not being admitted and arrange follow-up care • Demonstrate urgency for patient safety and high-quality service • Perform additional duties as assigned Tasks • Bachelor in Social Services • Master in Social Services (preferred) • One+ years in mental/behavioral health in clinical/observational capacity (preferred) • Current licensure in relevant area (state-dependent) • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification • First aid may be preferred by state/facility Key requirements •
