Part-Time Therapist (CSW, ACMHC, LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC) – Foster Care & Family Services Location

Salt Lake County, Utah – primarily office based

Employment Type Part-Time

Compensation Compensation based on licensure, experience, and productivity.

About Us We are a foster care agency providing trauma-informed therapy and supportive services to children, adolescents, and families involved in foster care and Medicaid-funded services. Our therapists work closely with mentors, family advocates, caregivers, caseworkers, and program staff to support stability, healing, and long-term outcomes for youth and families. This is not a traditional private practice role. It is a collaborative, systems-based position serving children and families with complex behavioral health and family system needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide individual and family therapy services to children, adolescents, and families
  • Deliver trauma-informed care within foster care and child welfare systems
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and Medicaid-compliant documentation
  • Ensure treatment plans and progress notes meet billing and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate care with caregivers, caseworkers, schools, and internal program staff
  • Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Support continuity of care for high-needs youth and families
  • Maintain a productive caseload and consistent scheduling practices
  • Conduct limited community-based sessions for far-distance families when clinically appropriate
  • Complete required in-person sessions for high-risk clients on a monthly basis

Some evening availability may be needed based on family scheduling needs.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Active Utah license as a CSW, ACMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or LCMHC
  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health field
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families
  • Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfort working within Medicaid and child welfare systems

Preferred:

  • Trauma-informed therapy experience
  • Family therapy experience
  • Foster care or child welfare experience
  • Medicaid documentation experience
  • Crisis stabilization experience
  • Experience with attachment-related and behavioral disorders
  • Spanish-speaking ability

Experience with foster care, Medicaid, trauma, or family systems is strongly preferred. Clinical supervision may be available for associate-level clinicians working toward full licensure.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
