Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children’s Care Manager who is fluent in Bengali and committed to providing exceptional care and support to children in need. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's unique needs, background, and circumstances.
- Provide emotional support, guidance, and mentorship to children to promote their mental health and social development.
- Coordinate with families, social workers, educators, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
- Monitor children’s progress regularly, documenting milestones and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Organize engaging activities that encourage learning, creativity, and social interaction while respecting cultural values.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, safeguarding policies, and legal requirements related to child protection.
- Maintain detailed records of each child's progress, incidents, and care interventions with transparency and accuracy.
- Must be willing to travel within one or more of the 5 boroughs- Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island, Westchester or Staten Island
Qualifications
- Must also speak English: Also Secondary language: Spanish, Bambara, French, Italian, Cantonese, Mandarin, Haitian Creole
- Prior experience working with children in social services, education or childcare settings is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Knowledge of child development principles, safeguarding policies, and relevant legal frameworks.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the specific needs of Bilingual-speaking communities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
