Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with a limited permit, where you will play a vital role in supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This position offers valuable fieldwork supervision hours necessary for full RBT certification, providing an engaging environment to apply your skills in behavioral therapy, teaching, and patient care. You'll work closely with licensed supervisors to implement individualized treatment plans, collect data, and promote positive behavioral outcomes. Duties
- Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles under supervision
- Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions
- Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and hygiene routines
- Help facilitate structured teaching sessions tailored to each individual’s needs in special education settings
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
- Collaborate with team members to develop and update care plans and behavioral strategies
- Observe client behaviors closely, providing real-time feedback to supervisors for ongoing treatment adjustments
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and behavior management strategies
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and data collection methods
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support patient-centered care approaches
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Effective teaching skills combined with patience and empathy when working with diverse populations
- Excellent communication skills for documenting progress and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
