THE POSITION

Are you passionate about advancing mental health care, supporting rehabilitation, and enhancing public safety? As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections with the Department of Corrections, you can use your expertise to improve the lives of individuals in a secure and structured setting. This position gives you the chance to lead psychological services that support safety and personal growth at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Camp Hill. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position plays a key role in leading and guiding psychological services within SCI Camp Hill. It helps ensure that mental health programs meet professional standards and address the needs of the inmate population. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections, you will perform the following duties:

  • Program Leadership: Oversee psychological service programs and guide the direction of mental health initiatives
  • Staff Supervision: Direct and evaluate the work of psychological services staff to support effective operations
  • Clinical Oversight: Review assessments and treatment plans to help maintain consistent and appropriate care
  • Committee Participation: Lead or participate in facility committees that address mental health needs and review cases
  • Consultation Support: Provide guidance to staff on mental health issues and support specialized units as needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.

  • You must be in possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.

Other Requirements:
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
