Overview:

The Quality Control Specialist – QC manages quality program planning, quality program evaluation, identifying and resolved quality issues, and providing technical advisory services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates systems
  • Analyzes data
  • Establishes control procedures
  • Use DSS and other Government Data Systems
  • Validates processes
  • Performed IAW DLA Distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Audits Readiness Internal Controls

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervisory responsibilities are not anticipated.

Education and/or Experience:

  • BA/BS Degree in related field
  • 4+ Years of Quality Control experience in an IT related environment
  • Experience with Corrective Action Plans (CAP)
  • 3+ years’ experience working with the Distribution Standard System (DSS)
  • 2+ years’ experience with MIL-STD-129.
  • Government contracting experience is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Material Hazard and Bio-Hazard Communication (MSDS)
  • Knowledge of the Material Receiving / Handling sections of ISO 9000
  • Experience with OEM Process Flow System and Procedures (NCR)
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including Word, Excel, Access and E-mail business software.
  • Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team
  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (MOUS) Certification, Microsoft Certified Professional Security Clearance.

Security Clearance:

  • The candidate must be able to pass a thorough government administered background investigation for the site.

Work Environment:

General office environment. Some travel both domestically and internationally required based on business demands.
