Overview
Join our dynamic private practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations. Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately document mental health conditions.
- Provide individual and or group employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy and therapyyou may specialize in.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health crises or trauma, including PTSD care and grief counseling.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling services while maintaining HIPAA compliance and secure medical documentation practices.
- Develop and monitor personalized treatment plans aligned with clients’ needs.
- Collaborate with case managers, medical professionals, educators, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
- Engage in clinical research or data collection initiatives aimed at improving therapeutic outcomes and advancing behavioral health practices.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology coordination, and crisis management.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic purposes; experience with CPT coding is a plus.
- Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health conditions.
- Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and manage complex cases involving trauma, addiction counseling, or chronic pain management.
- Excellent communication skills with the capacity to work independently while collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
