Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with individuals, primarily children, who have developmental disabilities and autism. Your primary focus will be to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, assisting clients in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors to ensure effective treatment planning.
- Provide support in teaching social skills, communication, and daily living skills.
- Engage in behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans and medical records, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to support the client's overall development.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Proficient in data collection methods for tracking client progress.
- Knowledge of special education practices and patient care protocols.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies in various settings.
