Full-Time Pre-Licensed Therapist (W2)
Child & Family Therapist | LACMH, LMSW, LAMFT, or Equivalent
Resilient Kids Child & Family Therapy – Middletown, Delaware
We built the kind of practice many therapists wish they had earlier in their careers — supportive, collaborative, and flexible without sacrificing quality of care.
Resilient Kids Child & Family Therapy is a modern, community-oriented group practice serving children, teens, and families in Southern New Castle County, Delaware. We are currently seeking a warm, organized, and growth-oriented pre-licensed clinician to join our team full-time as a W2 employee.
This role is ideal for clinicians who are looking to move away from burnout-driven systems and into a supportive environment where they can continue growing their clinical voice, receive meaningful mentorship, and build a sustainable long-term career.
This position is designed for clinicians seeking a long-term, growth-oriented practice home rather than a temporary stepping stone.
What Makes Resilient Kids Different
At Resilient Kids, we believe clinicians do their best work when they feel supported, valued, and trusted.
We are a close-knit leadership and administrative team that genuinely invests in our clinicians. Our therapists have flexibility and autonomy while still receiving structure, mentorship, and strong operational support. We value collaboration, curiosity, accountability, and authentic relationship-building — both with clients and within our team.
Our offices are intentionally warm and welcoming, located within beautiful, walkable community settings including Whitehall and Downtown Middletown. We encourage clinicians to integrate movement, creativity, connection, and flexibility into their work when clinically appropriate, including walk-and-talk therapy sessions within the surrounding community environments.
We value a holistic view of mental health and believe healing does not always have to happen sitting in the same office chair all day — especially for children and families. Whether through movement, play, art, creativity, or experiential approaches within the therapy space, we recognize that many clients connect and regulate best when therapy feels engaging, relational, and developmentally responsive rather than overly rigid or clinical.
For clinicians interested in expanding beyond traditional office-based therapy, we also offer opportunities through our partnership with Buddy’s Place, Inc. to explore nature-based and experiential approaches including horticultural therapy, animal-assisted interventions, and equine-assisted psychotherapy. Training is provided for interested clinicians.
We especially value clinicians who:
- Enjoy working with children and families
- Are collaborative and open to feedback
- Ask thoughtful questions and enjoy learning
- Are creative, relational, and flexible in their approach
- Can balance warmth with accountability
- Are comfortable involving caregivers and family systems in treatment
- Are organized and able to maintain documentation expectations
We value clinicians who can integrate evidence-based care with relational, developmentally responsive, and creative approaches to treatment.
Position Details
- Full-Time W2 Employee

- Clinicians are expected to maintain either two evening shifts per week or one weekend shift weekly as part of their regular availability, based on their scheduling preference

Support for Newer Clinicians
We understand that strong clinicians are developed through support, mentorship, and experience — not perfection.
Our leadership team is highly accessible and invested in helping clinicians grow professionally while maintaining their own clinical style and interests. We utilize AI-assisted documentation tools to help streamline paperwork and reduce unnecessary administrative burden, while still maintaining strong documentation standards and accountability.
This is a practice where you can ask questions, continue developing your identity as a therapist, and build confidence with the support of an experienced and collaborative team.
