Hamaspik EI is seeking Spanish-speaking Service Coordinators to support families of young children (ages 0–3) with developmental delays. Early Intervention is a Department of Health (DOH) program that provides therapeutic services, and the Service Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for families throughout the process.
This role is a great opportunity for social work students and may qualify for internship or fieldwork experience, depending on school requirements.
Services are provided across all five boroughs of NYC. Training begins in Brooklyn, after which work location is flexible. This is a part-time position, with 20–36 hours per week based on availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the main liaison for parents, guiding them through the evaluation and service process
- Coordinate and attend meetings related to the child’s care
Ensure services are delivered accurately and in a timely manner
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Complete and manage caseload responsibilities efficiently and on time
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and submit required paperwork
Provide supportive, responsive, and compassionate experience for families
Qualifications:
Fluent in Spanish and English
Strong computer skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
ABA or 2+ years working with children under 4 which includes: classroom experience, volunteering, babysitting, day camp counselor, or being the parent or sibling of a disabled child
