Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual and group psychotherapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing.
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and clinical reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in case management activities such as patient assessment, data collection, research participation, and documentation using ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems.
- Support families through child & family counseling sessions and assist with behavioral management strategies tailored to pediatric populations.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as an LPC-A or equivalent credential with eligibility for licensure as an LPC.
- Experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral health conditions.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Strong skills in motivational interviewing, social work practices, and patient care strategies.
- Background in home & community care settings or hospital environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9) and conduct assessments related to PTSD care or addiction counseling.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients in individual or group therapy sessions while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
