Evaluates and treats patient populations for therapy needsResponsibilities:

Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition and needs. Develops and implements therapeutic interventions appropriate to treatment goals.
Performs interventions utilizing music therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age, condition, and needs of the patient or group served.
Documents patient information, therapy provided, feedback and results. Designs, coordinates and provides music therapy services and programs for a variety of patient and community populations.
Serves as a resource to the organization regarding music therapy. May supervise music therapists, students and interns.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program.

Board Certified (Mt-BC) by the certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
