The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry, Division of Psychology, is seeking an outstanding Psychologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinician or Clinician Educator Track) to provide evidence based clinical psychological assessment and intervention services within an interdisciplinary pain clinic. Services would include pre-procedural psychological evaluations, and individual and group interventions. Faculty will work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment providing health-oriented interventional care to patients with medical comorbidities. Highly competitive candidates will have experience in health psychology, referencing and utilizing evidence-based therapies and integrated behavioral health to manage pain and related issues. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in pursuing an academic career within a collaborative and growing team environment.
Teaching
UT Southwestern has an APA Accredited Doctoral Program in Clinician Psychology as well as an APA Accredited Internship that provides opportunities for teaching. There are also opportunities for supervision of psychology interns/practicum students, psychiatry residents, and social work fellows. Involvement in research is encouraged, and many opportunities exist for collaborative research efforts across the department.

Eligible candidates must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program and have completed an APA-accredited internship. Post-doctoral fellowship in health psychology is desirable. While Texas licensure is not required for consideration or selection, it is a pre-requisite for starting in the position.
