Experteer Overview In this role, you lead clinical and administrative nursing functions for psychiatry, aligning unit goals with hospital strategy and driving high-quality patient care. You partner with senior nursing leadership to shape policies, staffing, and outcomes across nursing services. You will oversee budget, compliance, and CQI initiatives while developing a strong leadership team. The position offers an opportunity to influence patient care standards in a major teaching hospital with a patient-centered mission. Compensation / Benefits • Establish unit goals with the senior nursing management team and track progress • Plan, develop, and implement policies and standards for patient services with compliance monitoring • Design protocols and documentation tools for nursing areas and define roles in new procedures • Assess training needs and coordinate CNS-led orientation and in-services for nursing and ED staff • Communicate clinical and admin updates to the care team and evaluate new programs and products • Identify and manage CQI projects with leadership for quality assurance and data analysis • Participate in hiring, supervision, performance appraisals, and staff development • Assist in preparing annual capital budget and department operating budgets; monitor expenditures • Review policies for regulatory compliance and implement changes as required • Address daily problems, investigate complaints, and ensure timely resolutions • Oversee department facilities, equipment, supplies to maintain safety and efficiency • Maintain department policies, QA programs, safety, infection control standards • May assume Director responsibilities in their absence • Perform other related duties as required Tasks • Minimum 3 yrs Behavioral Health experience • 5 years leadership experience (Asst. Director, Nurse Manager, or Team Leader) • Strong leadership and ability to advance nursing practice and patient care operations • Team building facilitator • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills • MSN Preferred • ANCC certification Key requirements •
