NaphCare is hiring a strong FT Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) just like you to join our team at theSan Diego County Jaillocated inSan Diego, CA .

NaphCare is hiring Independently and Dependently Licensed Mental Health Professionals (Example, LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, LMHP, LMSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC ) just like you to join our team and we have Full Time.

Pay rates vary based on shift, site needs, and experience. Shifts and hours vary based on coverage needs and can be discussed upon interview.

New grads are encouraged to apply and supervision for dependently licensed may be available.

Responsibilities

The Mental Health Professional , is responsible for providing performing and documenting mental health evaluations, developing treatment plans, and monitoring progress notes. Additional responsibilities may include and not be limited to:

  • Providing individual and group therapy, including specialized groups like substance abuse or sex offender therapy
  • Intervening in crisis situations, including suicide prevention and emergent mental health needs
  • notes
  • Participating in educational and training activities related to mental health care for patients, security personnel, and healthcare staff
  • Collaborating with other professionals, such as medical staff, correctional officers, and social workers, to provide holistic care
  • Preparing inmates for release by connecting them with community resources and support services

Qualifications

Education / Licenses / Certifications

  • Master's prepared licensed Mental Health Professional with active, unrestricted licensure in CA
  • Must possess and be able to maintain BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; AHA or American Red Cross, preferred

Experience / Requirements / Qualifications / Skills

  • Experience with underserved and marginalized populations, including those with mental health and substance use disorders
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse individuals, including other medical professionals, correctional staff and judges
  • Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-V / DSM-V-TR criteria
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data to create treatment plans
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Display integrity, professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening
