Cornerstone Control Systems is looking for a Service Coordinator/Dispatcher
Service Coordinator/Dispatcher acts as the critical link between field technicians, management, and customers, scheduling service visits, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance for fire safety systems. Key responsibilities include dispatching technicians, handling billing, maintaining equipment records, and ensuring all services meet safety regulations, typically requiring strong organizational skills and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Scheduling and Dispatching: Manage technician schedules to ensure service jobs, maintenance, and inspections are completed on time.
- Customer Service: Act as the primary contact, providing updates on service calls, handling inquiries, and resolving issues.
- Inventory and Logistics: Order, track, receive, and prepare parts or equipment necessary for field technicians.
- Administrative Support: Process service quotes, close out completed jobs, handle invoicing, and maintain digital records.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems meet local, state, and federal compliance standards.
- Coordination with Personnel: Collaborate with field staff to ensure they have the tools and information required for their jobs.
- Communication & Advocacy: Act as the primary contact for clients, providing information, resolving complaints, and advocating for necessary care. Exceptional verbal and written skills for liaising between clients and service providers.
- Record Keeping: Document client interactions, update service records, and prepare necessary reports.
- Relationship Management: Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, families, and service providers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in resolving issues and improving service delivery processes
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in scheduling, dispatching, or customer service, preferably within the fire protection or construction industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with life safety systems (sprinklers, alarms, suppression) is highly desirable.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and service management software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for interacting with technicians and customers.
- Organization: Strong multitasking and scheduling abilities to manage multiple clients simultaneously
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
