Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role which based in New Haven, CT, Beijing/Shenzhen China, for an Educational Counselor.

We are looking for passionate and proactive Educational Counselor to provide tailored education planning for high school students, focusing on academic growth, mental well-being, and cross-cultural adaptation, and to guide students through their academic and application processes.

• Education Planning: Develop personalized education plans based on each student’s individual needs, helping them set academic goals and career development directions.
• Academic Support: Monitor students’ academic progress, offering guidance and support to ensure their continued growth and success.
• Mental Health and Cross-Cultural Adaptation: Pay attention to students' mental health, provide emotional support, and help them adapt to international educational environments.
• Resource Coordination & Educational Product Development: Utilize leadership skills and expertise to coordinate internal and external resources, creating distinctive educational services or products to enhance students’ educational experience.
• Application Guidance: Assist students in preparing and submitting applications for high schools or universities, providing professional advice to ensure they gain admission to their ideal schools.

Qualifications

The Educational Counselor is positioned as an educator, with a scope far beyond that of traditional study abroad consultants. We believe their core work lies in providing tailored solutions for Chinese international students and organizing corresponding international education resources.

• Education: Overseas study background with a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Preferred majors include Psychology, Education, or related fields.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in educational planning or consulting, preferably within international education organizations.
• Language Skills: Excellent English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, capable of fluent communication with students and parents.
• Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of the international education planning process and counselor responsibilities, able to provide targeted solutions for students.
• Personal Qualities: Proactive, responsible, strong self-discipline, and able to work independently under pressure.
• Team Spirit: High enthusiasm for the role, with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to working closely with the team to achieve goals.
