Job description:
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied behavior analysis and a passion for improving the lives of individuals with autism and other behavioral health challenges. As a BCBA, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct support to clients while collaborating with families and other professionals.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify behavioral needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement and monitor behavior intervention strategies based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and support for clients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client progress in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on behavioral therapy techniques and best practices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions through data collection and analysis, making adjustments as necessary.
- Advocate for clients’ needs within the community and provide resources for additional support services.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques and principles.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with similar behavioral challenges.
- Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients' needs.
