Duties
- You will provide direct victim support and referrals.
- You will perform victim service, advocacy and support duties to enhance or improve welfare and quality of life.
- You will demonstrate ability to clearly and effectively articulate, present and promote varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences.
- You will understand and interpret technical material, rules, regulations, and instructions as it applies to specific situations.
- You will facilitate planning, scheduling and delivering of training and represent the program to the overall installation population.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Occasional travel outside the local area may be required, up to 25% for meetings, training, or other program related events, or needs.
- The on-call or rational status requires varied work hours, to include a requirement to be available 24/7.
- Incumbent must be able to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays, in an on-call or rotational basis.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain active D-SAACP certification in accordance with Section 584 of Public Law 112-81 and DOD Instruction (DoDI) 6495.03 as a condition of employment and any subsequent policy updates applicable to this program.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying primary prevention principles, sexual assault dynamics, and local social services delivery systems, concepts, principles and theories and community resources for sexual assault, victim advocacy, and the prevention and response to provide one-one-one victim advocacy assistance and information to sexual assault victims; 2) Effectively coordinating victim services (e.g. medical, legal, mental health, and investigative) with various agencies by applying knowledge of military, Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DON), the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Program, local, state, and federal laws, and military regulations pertaining to victims of sexual assault; 3) Employing professional, verbal and written communication methods and techniques to effectively communicate with all levels of management, staff, and intervening agencies and present training; 4) Employing interpersonal skills and professional, verbal and written communication methods and techniques to build trust and develop supportive relationships with military personnel and families of diverse backgrounds (racial, ethnic, religious, socioeconomic), sexual orientation, and gender identifies; and 5)Accepting official reports of sexual assault by assisting the victim in the reporting process.6) Utilizing various office filing systems and methods to maintain an accurate system for SAPR program data collection and reports.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess one of the following:
Successful completion of a behavioral or social science degree, or a degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position being filled
OR
A combination of education and experience that provided knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
