Juvenile Detention Counselor

Provide supervision and security to a juvenile population. Supervise the daily living and behavior management program. Assist with the education program as needed. Implement informal counseling and positive reinforcement for the juvenile population. Provide social skills and crisis intervention when needed. Implement security programs, adhering to established procedures in conjunction with facility inspections and searches of facility and residents. Follow all policies and procedures of the agency throughout all aspects of the program. Maintain records and thorough documentation of activities, events and incidents to include completing incidents and emergency reports. Exhibit positive role model behaviors for the juvenile population as well as for co-workers. Other duties as presented and necessary. Must be able to work all shifts.
