Limited permit salary: $ 59,789.54

Posted salary is for fully licensed candidates

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary mobile ACT treatment team with a shared caseload
  • Conduct assessments of mental health and/or substance use disorders, including co-occurring conditions
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles and practices of harm reduction
  • Provide ongoing mental health and substance use support in community-based settings
  • Serve as the team’s Substance Use Specialist, offering consultation and guidance on substance use and co-occurring disorder treatment
  • Provide training and education to team members on substance use treatment approaches and best practices
  • Participate in team meetings, care coordination, and crisis response as part of the ACT model
  • Ensure adherence to OMH, Medicaid, and agency regulations, policies, and standards of care
  • Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record in accordance with program and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate professional behavior and contribute positively to team functioning and collaboration
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field
  • LMSW or LCSW preferred, or NYS Limited Permit/License as a Mental Health Counselor
  • Minimum of one year of experience and/or training in substance use treatment, with demonstrated knowledge and competency
  • Strong knowledge of motivational interviewing, stage-wise treatment, and harm reduction principles
  • Valid and clean NYS driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer knowledge, including ability to complete electronic documentation
