Hours 11am to 7pm
Support & Stabilization Board Certified Behavior Analysts work as a team with Outreach Workers to support youth whose families are involved with The Department of Children and Families. These dedicated teams can help families manage challenging behaviors, teach skills, reduce stress, improve child development trajectories. This service aims to stabilize children in the home and allow them to live in the least restrictive setting in a sustainable, more healthy family environment.
Who You Are:
Has earned a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA). Experience conducting functional behavior assessments, experience in goal development and design of behavior support plans. Prior experience working with mental health and behavioral challenges. In addition, candidate will have a flexible schedule. Valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Must have strong written and interpersonal skills. Bilingual/bicultural preferred
What You Will Do:
The BCBA will serve as the behavioral team lead and may be responsible for taking notes during the daily check-in, staff meeting, or group supervisions. To identify the function of the youth’s behavior, the BCBA will complete a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA). The BCBA will work cooperatively with the youth and family to develop the Behavior Support Plan (BSP) and identify measurable goals for decreasing interfering behaviors along with goals that identify socially appropriate replacement behaviors to increase. The BCBA will create a data collection system that works for the youth/family to ensure all persons expected to collect behavior data are able to do so effectively. The BCBA will teach caretakers how to implement behavior strategies through role-play, modeling, coaching, and feedback. The BCBA will also teach team members and other identified collaterals how to implement behavior strategies to ensure treatment fidelity across all providers. The BCBA will engage in case management as needed.
