Mental Health Counselor

Job Summary
We are seeking a Clinical Mental Health Therapist passionate about giving back to the Maryland community! In this role, you will complete your own intake, conduct therapy, and type your own notes- our office will take care of the rest! This is a hybrid position; you choose your hours and client demographics. Right now, our focus is on the neurodivergent community, parents of neurodivergent, and severe trauma-- all with comorbidities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct motivational interviewing to encourage patient engagement and participation in their treatment.
• (Optional) Facilitate group therapy sessions, providing support and guidance to patients as they share their experiences.
• Collect and document data on patient behavior and progress for clinical notes.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and observations while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
• Collaborate in a once-a-month full business meeting to discuss professional development and consult on clinical cases.

Experience

• Must be licensed in Maryland as an LGPC, LCPC, LCPC-C, LCSW, LCSW-C, LCPAT, MT-BC/CBMT; we are open to family or substance abuse therapists.
• Previous experience in mental health counseling or related fields is required.
• Familiarity with behavioral, psychodynamic, creative, and/or trauma therapy techniques.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are essential.
