Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), ensuring consistency and fidelity in service delivery
• Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence
• Use behavioral therapy techniques to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors in children and individuals with autism
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and session reports, adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality
• Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to support treatment goals and provide education on behavior management strategies
• Ensure a safe environment during sessions by following all safety protocols and effectively managing behavioral challenges

Experience

• Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral health practices is advantageous
• Familiarity with special education settings or patient care environments enhances your ability to succeed in this role
• Ability to accurately collect data, document medical records, and understand medical terminology is highly valued
• Strong communication skills for teaching clients and collaborating with families or multidisciplinary teams are essential
• Commitment to ongoing learning about behavior management techniques and HIPAA compliance ensures high-quality care delivery
