As a Licensed Counselor, you will provide evidence-based psychotherapy, conduct comprehensive assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans to support recovery and resilience. Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards, to inform treatment strategies.
  • Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • Facilitate behavioral health treatments for diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, with special attention to trauma-related conditions like PTSD.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain detailed medical records using appropriate medical terminology and electronic health record systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans, integrating home and community care approaches for holistic patient support.
  • Participate in research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance clinical practices and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or equivalent credential.
  • Proven experience in psychotherapy, child & family counseling, addiction counseling, or behavioral health settings.
  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, behavioral management strategies, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Familiarity with medical documentation standards including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding systems, and medical terminology.
  • Experience working within hospital or community-based care environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations with sensitivity and professionalism.
