Position Overview

Job Title: Licensed Courage Counselor
Job Type: Fee-for-Service
Location: Newington, Manchester, Stratford, and/or Telehealth
Schedule: Flexible, part-time or full-time availability

License Requirements

Applicants must hold an active Connecticut license or eligible pre-licensed credential in one of the following areas:

Partially Licensed Applicants:

  • LPCA
  • LMSW
  • LMFTA

Fully Licensed Applicants:

  • LPC
  • LCSW
  • LMFT

Experience Requirement

Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience working with psychiatric clients or providing counseling services in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Courage Counselor will be responsible for providing direct clinical services and supporting client care. Duties may include:

  • Assessing client needs, including psychiatric and psychosocial concerns
  • Developing treatment plans based on each client’s presenting needs and goals
  • Providing individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy
  • Offering crisis intervention and support when clinically appropriate
  • Educating clients and families on treatment needs, coping skills, recovery supports, and available resources
  • Referring clients to appropriate levels of care, support groups, or community resources as needed
  • Working with clients who may present with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders
  • Collaborating with the team to support quality care and positive client outcomes
  • Maintaining professional documentation in accordance with clinical and agency expectations

Sign-On Bonus Details

The sign-on bonus is available to new staff who maintain a caseload of at least 10 clients after 3 months of working with Courage Counseling Center.
