Job Summary

North Texas Job Corps Center is seeking a licensed mental health professional (LCSW or Licensed Psychologist – PhD/PsyD) to provide clinical services to students ages 16–24. This position focuses on assessment, crisis intervention, and brief therapy for young adults with complex and often trauma-related histories who are actively working toward positive life changes.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position working in collaboration with the on-site psychologist.

Essential DutiesResponsibilities

  • Conduct clinical interviews and diagnostic assessments
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services
  • Deliver brief, solution-focused psychotherapy
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with center staff, instructors, and leadership
  • Provide mental health training for staff as needed
  • Coordinate referrals and connect students to community resources

Opportunities for longer-term therapy may be available depending on caseload.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Texas license as an LCSW or Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with adolescents and/or young adults (ages 16–24)
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and written communication skills
  • Experience with trauma-informed care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in residential, school-based, or community mental health settings
  • Familiarity with North Texas community mental health resources
