Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Assessor Psychiatrist to join our mental health team. In this vital role, you will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide expert assessments for diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Your expertise will help inform clinical decisions, support patient care strategies, and ensure accurate diagnostic evaluations. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients across various age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, psychotherapy (including psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy), and crisis management techniques.
- Conduct intake interviews and ongoing patient assessments to monitor progress and adjust care strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate inpatient and outpatient care, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining meticulous medical documentation.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to provide remote psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care when appropriate.
- Manage complex cases involving developmental disabilities, PTSD care, addiction counseling, or behavioral health issues with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate medical records, document clinical findings clearly in accordance with medical terminology standards, and ensure data collection aligns with best practices for diagnostic evaluation.
Experience
- Post-residency experience in psychiatry with a focus on pediatric psychiatry or working with children is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in hospital or clinic settings involving inpatient or outpatient mental health services.
- Proven ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis management skills.
- Familiarity with behavioral health treatment modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychopharmacology.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or geriatrics enhances your suitability for this role.
- Telehealth experience is advantageous for providing flexible patient care across diverse environments.
- Strong knowledge of medical records management, medical terminology, and adherence to HIPAA standards is essential for success in this position. Pay: $215.00 - $235.00 per hour
