This Isn't Just a Job. It's a Career-Defining Opportunity.

There are therapy jobs. And then there are moments where you join something at exactly the right time — when a team has built real momentum, real culture, and real systems — and your contribution actually matters.

Journey Psychiatry & Behavioral Health is that moment.

We are one of the fastest-growing behavioral health practices in the nation, recognized as a Top 1% growing practice by multiple industry sources and voted Best of the Best 2025 by our community. In just a few years, we've grown from a vision into a thriving, multi-provider, multi-location practice delivering over 1,700+ patient visits per month not by cutting corners, but by building something genuinely exceptional.

We are expanding our therapy team and looking for a licensed therapist who's ready to grow with us — clinically, professionally, and financially.

Who We Are

Journey Psychiatry & Behavioral Health is an integrated psychiatry and therapy practice based in Trinity, FL. We operate across two locations and offer a comprehensive range of services:

  • Outpatient Psychiatry — medication management and psychiatric evaluation
  • Individual Therapy — LMHC and LCSW-led outpatient therapy across the lifespan
  • Expert ADHD Care — one of the region's recognized leaders in ADHD assessment, treatment, and coaching for children, adolescents, and adults. We have developed proprietary ADHD workbooks, patient notebooks, and clinical protocols that set our care apart.
  • Peds Pathways — our pediatric mental health program serving children and families with specialized, developmentally appropriate care in a sensory-friendly environment
  • From Chaos to Clarity — our nationally-scalable parent training program, built entirely in-house, currently serving enrolled families with a structured 8-session curriculum
  • Spravato (Esketamine) Treatment — one of a limited number of practices in the Tampa Bay region offering this FDA-approved treatment for treatment-resistant depression
  • Life Coaching — complementary wellness services integrated into our patient offering

We don't just treat symptoms. We build programs, develop proprietary clinical tools, and invest in the kind of care infrastructure that produces real outcomes — and real reputations.

The Earnings Opportunity — Let's Talk Numbers

We know clinicians are tired of vague compensation language. Here's the reality at Journey:

We offer two compensation paths — and you choose what works best for your life and goals:

Option 1: Uncapped Visit-Based Pay (W2) This is where your earning potential is genuinely unlimited. Your income is directly tied to your caseload. The more patients you see, the more you earn — with no artificial ceiling. At Journey, you won't be fighting for referrals or scrambling to fill your schedule. We have a 68% new patient conversion rate, an active and growing referral pipeline, and consistent demand across our specialty areas. Full-time therapists on visit-based comp at Journey have a clear, realistic path to strong six-figure earnings — because the patient volume is there to support it.

Option 2: Salary + Bonus (W2) Prefer the predictability of a base salary with upside tied to performance? We offer that too. You get financial stability plus the opportunity to earn more as your caseload and patient outcomes grow.

Either way, you are a W2 employee — not a 1099 contractor. That means you are part of a team with real benefits, real support, and a real future here.

Benefits include:

  • Health insurance stipend
  • PTO + paid holidays
  • CEU reimbursement — we invest in your continuing education
  • Clinical supervision for registered interns working toward full licensure
  • Technology-forward practice — we use modern systems that minimize admin burden so you can focus on patients, not paperwork

What Sets Journey Apart Clinically

If you've worked in other outpatient settings, you know the frustration of being a therapist in a silo — no psychiatric collaboration, no coordinated care, no support when cases get complex.

That's not how we operate.

At Journey, psychiatry and therapy work as one team. Your patients who need medication management have direct access to our psychiatric providers. When a case is complex, you're not on your own — you have a clinical team behind you.

We've also invested in clinical infrastructure that most practices never build:

  • Weekly provider scorecards
  • Structured onboarding with real checklists and handbooks
  • Monthly 1:1 leadership meetings
  • A culture of book reviews, training investment, and CE reimbursement
  • EMDR training approvals and specialty development support

This is a practice where you grow — not just maintain.

Our Pediatric & ADHD Mission — Why It Matters

We are making a deliberate, significant bet on pediatric and ADHD care in this community. Here's why that matters to you as a clinician:

The need is enormous and the supply of qualified providers is critically short. Families in Pasco County and greater Tampa Bay are waiting weeks and months for pediatric behavioral health care. Our Peds Pathways program, our ADHD Center, our From Chaos to Clarity parent curriculum — these are not marketing ideas. They are real, operational programs actively serving families who need them.

If pediatric, adolescent, or ADHD care is your clinical passion — or a specialty you want to develop — you will have an extraordinary platform here. A full referral pipeline, a clinical team that specializes alongside you, and programs you can actually contribute to building.

The Culture We've Built

Our CEO started Journey with a mission rooted in his own personal story with ADHD — and that authenticity runs through everything we do. We are not a corporate healthcare machine. We are a founder-led, mission-driven practice where every clinical and operational decision is made with patient outcomes at the center.

We have also been honest about our growth. We've overcome real challenges — provider performance issues, operational gaps, cash flow variability in a scaling practice. We name those things and learn from them instead of pretending they didn't happen. That honesty is part of our culture.

Our team includes clinical leaders, a Director of Operations, a dedicated pediatric coordinator, and a growing administrative team — because we believe clinicians should be doing clinical work, not drowning in logistics.

The people who thrive at Journey are the ones who want to be part of building something — not just filling a seat on a schedule.

Two Locations. Hybrid Flexibility.

We operate from two Trinity, FL locations:

  • 1815 Health Care Drive, Suite B — our primary practice location
  • 8849 Hawbuck St, Suite B — our growing pediatric and ADHD center

Hybrid scheduling available — split your week between in-office sessions and telehealth. We build schedules that work for the clinician, not just the calendar.

Who We're Looking For

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), LCSW, or Registered Intern — active Florida license or registration in good standing
  • Pediatric, adolescent, or ADHD experience highly preferred — this is where our greatest need and growth opportunity lives
  • Comfortable with hybrid caseload — both in-person and telehealth
  • Someone who takes clinical quality seriously and wants feedback, not just autonomy
  • Mission-driven — you want your work to mean something beyond the billing cycle

Full-time preferred. Part-time considered for the right candidate.

What Our Growth Means For You

Here's the honest picture: Journey is on a trajectory that most practices never reach. We've gone from startup to approaching $3M annually in a few years. We're opening a dedicated pediatric center. We have proprietary programs being built. We have clinical infrastructure that rivals practices twice our age.

The therapists who join Journey now will grow with this practice — in caseload, in earnings, in clinical development, and in the rare satisfaction of being somewhere that actually lives its mission.

This is the kind of place you'll look back on years from now and say — I was there when it took off. And I helped build it.
