Our Programs, Camps, and Leagues are designed for youth of all ages and abilities, primarily focusing on developing, introducing, and enhancing fundamental skills and social-emotional competencies. ABOUT THE ROLE
The HPA Coach is a vital role within Program Operations, responsible for delivering high-quality programs, camps, and leagues while fostering a positive, engaging, and safe environment for students. Coaches lead with integrity, strong communication, and a growth mindset, building meaningful relationships and guiding participants through structured, impactful activities. Coaches implement lesson plans and support student development academically, athletically, and personally. This role is ideal for a hands-on, mission-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating meaningful experiences that align with HPA's core values and contribute to the organization's overall impact.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
- Lead & Supervise: Supervise program participants while always prioritizing safety, development, and well-being.
- Engage & Inspire: Bring positive energy, actively participate in sports and physical activities, and foster a culture of teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Coach & Develop: Plan, set up, and facilitate activities, drills, and scrimmages to build students' athletic and social-emotional skills.
- Support & Collaborate: Assist with equipment setup/breakdown, support site staff with student supervision, and help maintain a welcoming, organized environment.
- Learn & Grow: Attend job related trainings and events and contribute ideas to keep our programs evolving and impactful.
- Communicate: Provide feedback and collaborate with the Program Team to continuously improve the student and team experience.

REQUIRNMENTS:
- Passion for working with youth and making a positive community impact.
- A fun, energetic, patient, and attentive personality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with children or students (sports or youth leadership background preferred).
- Physical ability to participate in sports activities and lift/move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to pass a background check and TB Risk Assessment.
- 48 College Units or willingness to complete the TABE exam
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Other requirements as assigned
