ATA Services is currently seeking to hire an experience IT Systems and Security Support Specialist to work on a part time temporary position in SE Albuquerque.
$38.00 per hour with weekly paySchedule: Part- TimeLocation: In-office Southeast Albuquerque Start Date: ASAPAssignment is expected to last one year
Purpose of the Position
The Temporary position will provide operational support to Public School Facilities Authority’s IT Department to assist with daily operations, documentation and modernization projects. This is intended to provide additional support capacity for operational and security workloads currently carried by IT management and to assist with, continuity of services while long-term staffing needs are assessed.
Scope of Responsibilities
1. Systems and Cloud Administration
Support IT management and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and TeamsSupport endpoint management and configuration using Intune and related toolsAssist with identity, lifecycle management, including user provisioning, access reviews, and offboardingDocument system configurations, processes, and standards
2. Security and Compliance Support
Assist with implementation and maintenance of security controls, includingConditional Access policiesLeast-privilege access modelsSupport compliance efforts through:Documentation preparationAccess audits and reviewsPolicy implementation and enforcement
Assist with vulnerability remediation, patching coordination, and basic security monitoring
3. Infrastructure Stability and Risk Reduction
Support backup and recovery processes, verify backup integrity, and assist with disaster recovery readinessAssist with system reliability initiatives to reduce outages and service interruptionsAct as secondary coverage for critical systems during absences or high-impact incidents
4. Digital Transformation Support
Provide technical support for ongoing modernization projects, including:Cloud migrationsData and SharePoint restructuringIdentity and access redesign
Coordinate with the Software Developer to ensure infrastructure and security alignment for custom solutionsAssist with testing, rollout planning, and post-implementation stabilization
5. Operational Support (Limited and Structured)
Serve as escalation support for complex technical issues when requiredProvide secondary help desk coverage during peak periods or staff absence (not primary duty)Assist IT management in routine operational tasks

Qualifications
Education – Minimum associate’s degree in computer science.Experience supporting Microsoft 365 -based environments with identity and access management principlesWorking knowledge of IT security and complianceStrong documentation and communication skills3 years’ experience with Microsoft AzureExperience supporting public-sector, compliance driven, or audit sensitive environments being a plus.
