Bartender
Location: Cashiers, NC, 28717
Reports to: Clubhouse Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
Essential Function:
The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to members and guests, oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies, and collect money for drinks served.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are at hand.
- Request additional supplies as necessary.
- Stock the bar with necessities for hours of operation.
- Prepare, mix, and garnish mixed drinks.
- Greet members and guests.
- Mix, prepare, and serve drinks to members and guests ordered by food servers and beverage servers according to recipes approved by beverage managers.
- Maintain the bar and ensure it is clean and organized.
- Ensure that members and guests are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
- Collect payments and process them accurately.
- Use proper judgement and, when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
- Submit orders or create requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Experience
- At least 1-2 years of bartending experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of drink preparation or service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on customer service.
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly members or guests.
- Ability to learn Point of Sales (POS) systems.
- Prolonged periods of standing and preparing drinks.
- Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Must be of legal drinking age.
