  • Has An Annual Salary Of - $55,000

Job Description:

  • Will provide assessment/screening, clinical impressions, and release planning for individuals in Hall County jail who have a history of mental illness or symptoms of a mental illness.
  • Will facilitate recovery-focused community transition planning to assist individuals with referrals for continued behavioral health services, housing and other resources in the community.
  • Will enhance supports in services and provide family education and utilization of natural supports in the community.
  • The clinician will provide referral and linkage to services and supports that decrease hospitalization, incarceration and homelessness and arranges follow-up services with Avita outpatient clinics.
  • Will be responsible for working with correctional officers to identify individuals that may meet criteria to receive jail in-reach services in partnership with the team’s Forensic Peer Mentor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Unlicensed:
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Community Counseling, School Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy AND be license eligible with the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists allowing for an associate level license within six months of employment
OR
  • Associate Licensure as an LAPC, LAMFT or LMSW
