Position Overview:

The Mental Health Clinician/Social Worker (MHC/SW) is responsible for conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, including intakes and psychosocial evaluations. MHC/SW will meet with residents weekly to discuss their progress on service plan goals, develop cognitive and dialectical behavioral skills, and provide a supportive environment for addressing life issues. Additionally, the MHC/SW will participate in creating treatment plans and schedule weekly team treatment meetings. They will provide ongoing mental health counseling to a caseload of 6 youth, aged 15-20. The MHC/SW will organize, administer, and oversee the clinical operations of the Hard to Place, utilizing evidence-based best practice models. They will also engage in outreach to maintain contact with community-based medical and mental health provider agencies, establish and maintain Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and participate in meetings to ensure effective collaboration with outside providers, benefiting residents as they transition to the community.

Position Qualifications:

LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or equivalent; minimum of 3 years of experience in a residential setting or working with foster youth preferred. Will take an applicant who has a limited permit. Must have familiarity with or willing to acquire skills in DBT, MST, FFT, Trauma Informed Treatment and other treatment modalities. Must have familiarity and or knowledge of adolescent development.
