Summary of Duties

Oregon Eligibility Partnership (OEP) provides direction and resources to everyone working to determine eligibility for Oregonians applying for and receiving medical, food, cash and childcare benefits through the ONE eligibility system. .

The OEP Learning and Engagement Team (OEP-LET) develops and implements a comprehensive and coordinated agency training plan for eligibility programs. OEP-LET provides and/or coordinates necessary training for thousands of ODHS staff members. The administrative scope of the program includes 16 Service Districts providing a range of services (TANF, SNAP, Child Care, MAGI medical, Non-MAGI Medical, Long-Term Care Financial) for eligible families and individuals throughout Oregon. This team also provides support to legislators and the governor's office and is expected to participate in special assignments as needed.

As a Training Supervisor you will:

Have oversight of all training programs that support Oregon eligibility programs.

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and program priorities established by OEP Director and Deputy Directors.

Work collaboratively with other ODHS Training Supervisors to provide an integrated training approach.

Develop and implement agency-wide training plans and the coordination of an overall training strategy for OEP.

Assign work, develop work procedures consistent with agency policy, establish work schedules and monitor work performed in order to meet established goals, objectives, and target dates.

Represent OEP on Department-wide projects involving training and coordination of training.

Approve purchases within the OEP LET budget and assist the manager with the administration of the budget.

Evaluate the quality of services provided by reviewing reports, statistical data, and feedback to determine what improvements are needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Four (4) years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR

One (1) year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Working Conditions

The work schedule is 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday Pacific Time during initial training and the trial service period. Thereafter the schedule is negotiable based on business needs.

The position follows a hybrid work model, combining remote work with consistent on-site, in-person meetings in Salem and at dispersed program locations throughout the state. This may occur for both planned and unplanned business needs or events.

Non-conventional work hours are expected in addition to professional work week hours, which may include evenings and weekends.

Note travel expenses not provided, nor reimbursable for remote work employees per travel policy paragraph 105:

Travel within Oregon to geographically dispersed program sites, and occasionally out of state involving overnight stays, may be required to support program operations and engagement activities.

General work conditions include high stress environment due to a high-volume workload with short time frames.

The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship. Within three days of hire, you will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Security’s I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States.
