Expected pay for this position is $31.49 - $37.05/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Adult Palliative Care Counselor provides counseling, critical psycho-social support to palliative care patients through the palliative Care Service consult team. Responsible for the provision of psychological services to patients and their family affected by chronic and/or life-limiting conditions. Conducts appropriate assessment of patient and family mental health needs. Provides consultation to healthcare professionals regarding the impact of psycho-social factors on patients' illness.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Master’s degree

Experience

3 years’ related work experience in social work or counseling.

Licensure/ Certification

IDFPR (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation) issued Social Worker License OR IDFPR issued Clinical Soc Worker License OR IDFPR issued Prof Counselor License OR IDFPR issued Clinical Counselor License

Preferred Qualifications

Licensure/ Certification:

Prof Counselor License OR Clinical Counselor License
