Serenity Health & Wellness Corporation is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and mission‑driven Addiction Counselor to join our growing Clinical Department. This role provides individual and group counseling, supports clients in their recovery journey, and helps them build the skills needed for long‑term success. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling using evidence‑based practices (CBT, MI, Contingency Management, etc.)
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with agency standards
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and organized client records
  • Collaborate with clients to identify goals, develop treatment plans, and coordinate needed services
  • Respond to crises and use challenging moments as opportunities for therapeutic growth
  • Participate in case reviews, supervision, and ongoing professional development
  • Serve as a resource to team members and represent the agency professionally
  • Utilize electronic health record systems and online platforms for documentation and verification
  • Complete all case notes by the end of each business day

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Ohio licensure: LSW, LCDC, LCDC II, or LCDC III
  • Experience providing therapeutic or counseling services to adults
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of addiction, co‑occurring disorders, and recovery‑oriented care

Preferred:

  • Prior addiction treatment or behavioral health experience
  • Experience with electronic health records
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
