Job description:
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your primary focus will be to support clients in achieving their goals while fostering a positive and encouraging environment. Training will be provided on the job and to achieve the RBT certificate if not already held.
Duties
- Implement individualized care plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Collect and analyze data on client behaviors to track progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Provide direct patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during sessions.
- Educate clients and their families about behavior strategies and techniques to promote skill development.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including educators and therapists, to support the holistic development of clients.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when documenting client interactions and progress.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all interactions with clients and families.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques is essential for success in this role.
- Experience in data collection methods relevant to behavior tracking is a plus.
- A strong understanding of patient care principles and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment is crucial.
