Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic STRTP (Short-Term Residential Treatment Program) Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and behavioral support to children and adolescents in a residential setting. Your expertise will help foster positive development, resilience, and recovery by implementing evidence-based interventions, conducting assessments, and collaborating with families and community resources. Duties

  • Conduct thorough intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing clinical counseling for youth in the program
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on mental health, trauma recovery (including PTSD), addiction counseling, and social skills development
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute behavioral or emotional episodes effectively
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management, discharge planning, and community care services
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
  • Collect data for clinical research initiatives, monitor progress through EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and contribute to quality improvement efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred with relevant licensure (e.g., LCSW or LMFT)
  • Proven experience working with children and adolescents in residential or community settings; experience with special education or autism spectrum disorders is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic techniques including motivational interviewing, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and crisis management skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance
  • Ability to perform patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and case management effectively in high-pressure environments
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or geriatrics is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging clients through individual/group therapy and family counseling sessions
  • Proficiency in EMR systems for data collection, clinical documentation, and research purposes
