Duties
- Coordinate daily service appointments, ensuring timely scheduling and communication with customers and technicians
- Assist customers with vehicle drop-off and pick-up, providing clear explanations of services needed and recommended upgrades
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services based on customer needs and vehicle diagnostics
- Manage service writing, including detailed documentation of repairs, estimates, and work orders
- Support automotive diagnostics by understanding basic mechanical issues and communicating findings to technicians
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent customer service throughout the process
- Collaborate with mechanics on complex repairs such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, alignments, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Maintain organized records of all service activities and ensure compliance with dealership standards
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures
- Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive repair processes is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Experience in auto estimating and service writing to provide accurate quotes and documentation
- Knowledge of various automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, brakes, suspensions, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, alignments, air brakes, and auto body repair
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining professionalism
- Automotive sales experience or aptitude for upselling services is a plus
