Service Coordinator

Duties

• Coordinate daily service appointments, ensuring timely scheduling and communication with customers and technicians
• Assist customers with vehicle drop-off and pick-up, providing clear explanations of services needed and recommended upgrades
• Upsell additional maintenance or repair services based on customer needs and vehicle diagnostics
• Manage service writing, including detailed documentation of repairs, estimates, and work orders
• Support automotive diagnostics by understanding basic mechanical issues and communicating findings to technicians
• Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent customer service throughout the process
• Collaborate with mechanics on complex repairs such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, alignments, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
• Maintain organized records of all service activities and ensure compliance with dealership standards

Requirements

• Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures
• Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive repair processes is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
• Experience in auto estimating and service writing to provide accurate quotes and documentation
• Knowledge of various automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, brakes, suspensions, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, alignments, air brakes, and auto body repair
• Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining professionalism
• Automotive sales experience or aptitude for upselling services is a plus

Pay: $28.99 - $35.68 per hour
