Position Title: Suicide Prevention Program Manager
Position Reports to: Executive Director
Purpose of the Job: To provide suicide prevention education and support to the Licking County community.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate and facilitate evidence-based suicide prevention training in the community, including schools.
- Assist with setting measurable outcomes, meet set goals and requirements, prepare and present data on measured outcomes for all funders.
- Prepare monthly reports and maintain documentation of program activities as requested by the Executive Director.
- Participate on the Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors (LOSS) Team.
- Assist with suicide prevention program fundraiser(s) and other events as needed
- Identify funding opportunities and assist with applying for grants to ensure sustainability.
- Communicate clearly to students and school staff, other Mental Health America staff and community members.
- Work toward Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist or Assistant certification.
- Meet monthly with Prevention Supervisor.
- Work flexible hours on occasion including evenings and weekends.
- Participate in monthly Quality Assurance, Team, and Licking County Suicide Prevention Coalition meetings as schedule allows.
- Maintain cultural humility in service delivery.
- Accept other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Associate Director.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in health education, public health, social services, education or related field.
- Minimum of two years’ experience with in-person and virtual training facilitation of various group sizes.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of suicide prevention best practices and community resources preferred.
- Must be trustworthy with confidential materials and information.
- Ability to relate to individuals of all ages, cultural backgrounds and socioeconomic status.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within Licking County.
- Acceptable background check.
Position particulars: This is a year-round, full-time (40 hours per week) position, with option to occasionally work hybrid. Hours are primarily during business hours of 8:00am – 4:30 pm however some evening and weekend hours will be required.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
