Overview
Join our dedicated mental health and behavioral services team as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate (LPC-A). In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based counseling and support to individuals across diverse age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual and group psychotherapy sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during acute episodes, including crisis management protocols.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and motivation for change.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, document progress, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage medical documentation accurately, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records using appropriate medical terminology and ICD coding standards (ICD-10/ICD-9).
  • Provide specialized support for clients with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including behavior management strategies and special education considerations.

Requirements

  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate (LPC-A) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with disabilities in clinical or community settings.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles, mental health counseling techniques, and diagnostic evaluation methods.
  • Proficiency in crisis management, trauma-informed care, and addiction counseling approaches.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation standards, CPT coding for billing purposes, and ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9).
  • Ability to perform patient assessment accurately and deliver effective individual or group counseling sessions.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines.
