Behavior Technician

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
• Collect and analyze data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions to inform ongoing treatment strategies
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines
• Support teaching sessions that enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors through engaging activities
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to adjust interventions as needed for optimal outcomes
• Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages positive behavior management and client engagement

Skills

• Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
• Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
• Ability to assist with ADLs and implement teaching strategies in educational or home settings
• Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance for managing sensitive health information
• Excellent data collection skills to track progress accurately and inform treatment adjustments
• Compassionate approach to patient care with patience for working through challenging behaviors
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with families, educators, and healthcare professionals

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
