An opportunity is available for a skilled Social Worker specializing in school-based support within a Bronx, NY school setting. Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs to develop individual support plans
• Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions to address challenges affecting academic performance and personal development
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create a supportive network for students
• Connect students and families with community resources and external support services as needed
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation in compliance with school protocols

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
• Valid state Social Work license or certification preferred
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting
• Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and crisis intervention techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to manage confidential information and work independently within a team environment
