Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A part-time Social Worker position is available at an elementary school in Cartersville, GA, serving young students in kindergarten through 5th grade. This role supports approximately 24 children across four classrooms, working closely with students exhibiting moderate to intensive behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services to students within the school setting
  • Address behavioral and emotional needs to support academic and social success
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop individualized support plans
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Participate in planning and team meetings to coordinate comprehensive support

Qualifications:

  • Georgia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with Educator Certification
  • Prior experience as an LCSW within a school environment is strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload of students with behavioral needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with school teams and families

Location and Schedule:

  • Position located at an elementary school in Emerson, GA
  • Contract dates: August 5, 2026 – May 26, 2027, with potential additional days for planning
  • Part-time schedule, approximately 15 hours per week
