Compass Health Systems is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians to make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families by providing Intensive Behavioral Health Services/ Applied Behavior Analytic services behavioral needs across the home, school and community settings. The Behavioral Health Technician/Registered Behavior Technician will have the ability to build a caseload and create their own schedule.

This is a W2 employee (not independent contractor) position with accrued paid time off and six paid holidays.

RBT and BCBA Supervision offered to employees after probationary period has been met.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Providing services one-on-one with children and young adults with autism and/or other behavioral/emotional disorder or needs by utilizing techniques and strategies that increase communication, self-help, and social and play skills under the supervision of a Licensed Behavioral Specialist and/or Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Develop positive relationships and rapport with client, client's family and other individuals that are part of the client's team.
  • Ability and willingness to follow a treatment plan and to transfer the skills to parents and/or others in the client's life that are needed to improve the client's behaviors and make positive, lasting change .
  • Willingness to learn and apply the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Keeping accurate records of client performance/progress to include data collection
  • and session notes through an electronic platform and/or paper data collection system.
  • Being passionate, interactive energetic and positive with client and/or their family or peers.
  • Ability to communicate confidentially and professionally with behavior analysts, behavior specialists, teachers, parents, and principals.
  • Ability to understand feedback and utilize it to improve performance.
  • Ability and willingness to attend weekly supervision meetings and/or trainings when necessary.
  • Others duties as assigned.

Requirements include:

  • High School diploma is required. Associates or Bachelors degree in a human services, psychology, education, special education or related field preferred.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the life of a child with Autism or other behavioral needs
  • While previous experience as an ABA professional is highly preferred, a minimum of 6-12 months working with children with disabilities and/or in an educational setting is preferred
  • RBT CERTIFICATION IS HIGHLY PREFERRED but CHS will provide RBT training upon hire.
  • Ability to pass background checks is required (reimbursed upon the start of employment)

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
