School Based Social Worker – DuPage County & Surrounding Chicagoland Area (26-27 School Year)
Ro Health is currently hiring School Based Social Workers for the upcoming school year (26–27 School Year) to support school districts in and around DuPage County and the greater Chicagoland area.
We’re looking for compassionate, credentialed professionals who are passionate about supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs in a school-based setting. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule, strong collaboration with school teams, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students’ lives.
This is an in-person position working directly within school districts, providing both direct and indirect social work services aligned with student IEPs. Learn more below!

Overview:
- In-person
- Schedule: M-F (Start and End times may vary by school district)
- Compensation: $50-$55/hr
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect social work services in accordance with IEPs
- Conduct mental health assessments and crisis interventions (including suicide risk assessments)
- Facilitate individual and group support focused on social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and educational planning
- Connect families with community resources and outside services when appropriate
- Support behavioral management strategies and help staff adapt instruction based on student needs
- Travel between school sites if assigned multiple buildings
- Maintain accurate documentation, including Medical Assistance billing
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (required)
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work Endorsement, registered with the Illinois State Board of Education (required)
- LSW or School Social Work certification (required)
- Strong understanding of mental health, behavior, and crisis response in school settings
- Experience working in school-based or special education environments
- Experience developing IEP goals and participating in interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills and cultural competency working with diverse student populations
