Avita offers an evidence-based, client-centered treatment program that provides Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment services, during day and evening hours, for substance use disorders in a warm and welcoming environment with professional and caring staff. Avita is currently seeking a full-time Substance Abuse Counselor for our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide recovery-oriented clinical services to clients in both group and individual settings. The Substance Abuse Counselor will also complete intake biopsychosocial assessments and orientation with new clients. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will work with a supportive and collaborative interdisciplinary treatment team that are all focused on Avita’s mission to provide education, therapy, support, and community resources to enable individuals to achieve their full potential.

Avita offers FREE supervision toward licensure & monthly Evidence Based Trainings with CEUs to enhance your skills/maintain your license. Regular Clinical Care Team Meetings assist in wrapping the appropriate level of services around each individual you serve.

We pay you based on your level of licensure and experience.

Recent graduate? We will provide the supervision and training you need.

Unlicensed ($45,000/yr.): A Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Community Counseling, School Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from a CACREP, CSWE, CCPTP or COAMFTE accredited university AND be license eligible with the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists allowing for an associate level license within six months of employment.

CACII/CADCII - (45,000/year)

Associate Licensed ($55,000) Associate Licensure as an LMSW, LAMFT, or LAPC

LMFT/LCSW/LPC - ($75,000) - Must hold a LPC, LCSW or LMFT in Georgia.

LMFT/LCSW/LPC - ($80,000) - 1-3 years post-licensure experience

LMFT/LCSW/LPC - ($85,000) - 3+ years of post-licensure experience
