Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide high-quality behavioral support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. In this vital role, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors
- Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to enhance independence
- Support individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in various settings, including homes and community environments
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions
- Apply behavioral management techniques to foster positive behaviors and create a safe, supportive environment
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children, or special education is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training for successful candidates
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management strategies
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism across diverse settings
- Excellent data collection skills and attention to detail for tracking client progress accurately
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is advantageous
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours including afternoons, evenings, or weekends as needed
